More than 1,000 volunteers from the 蜜桃工作室 community welcomed and assisted new students as they moved into their residence halls on freshman move-in day, Sunday, Aug. 18. The annual community program, known as Movers and Groovers, is coordinated by 蜜桃工作室 Interhall Council, the student government of the 蜜桃工作室 Campus residence halls.
鈥淢overs and Groovers is such an amazing way to welcome our students,鈥 said Jill Jenkins, executive director of University Housing (formerly Residence Services) at 蜜桃工作室. 鈥溍厶夜ぷ魇 Interhall Council is the group responsible for the student-run and organized program. Volunteers included fraternities and sororities, campus ministry groups, academic groups, faculty and university departments. For fall 2019, 蜜桃工作室 Interhall Council students took the program to new heights! Move-in truly takes a village, and Movers and Groovers is one way 蜜桃工作室 Interhall Council makes our students feel welcome.鈥
The Movers and Groovers program is part of 蜜桃工作室鈥檚 KSU Kickoff, an orientation program that runs for four days prior to the start of fall classes. KSU Kickoff includes activities and events to encourage students to explore the 蜜桃工作室 community and provides a smooth transition to the university environment.
