ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ’s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

As the champagne flowed Oct. 15 in the clubhouse of the National League Champion Washington Nationals, there was a ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ connection in the middle of the frenzy that capped the team’s first trip to the World Series.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ fight song blared down Main Street, the city of ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ pride.

ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ will hold the 49th commemoration of the historic events of May 4, 1970, where protesting students, observers and soldiers gathered on that fateful day when the Ohio National Guard shot and killed four students and wounded nine others on the ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ Campus.
Mother-Daughter Duo Go Through ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ Geauga Nursing Program Together
Ronda McCaskey and Caitlyn Horvath are best friends who went through the nursing program together and graduated one year apart with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from ÃÛÌÒ¹¤×÷ÊÒ at Geauga. Now they are both intensive care nurses. But they also happen to be mother and daughter.
