Georgia Bender Ginley
Biography
Adjunct Professor Georgia Bender Ginley is an Associate Attorney at Stage & Donohue, a division of Donohue, O'Connell & Riley PLLC, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, elder law, and estate administration throughout the Northeast.
Professor Bender Ginley advises individuals, families, and business owners on structuring their personal affairs to minimize state and federal estate taxes, reduce exposure to unforeseen liabilities, and ensure the efficient transfer of wealth between generations. She also counsels clients on elder law matters, including asset protection, Medicaid planning, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and other planning strategies that help individuals and families navigate aging and other significant life transitions. In addition, she represents executors, trustees, and beneficiaries throughout the probate process and in the administration of trusts and estates, guiding clients through each stage of estate and trust administration.
Prior to focusing her practice on trusts and estates, Professor Bender Ginley represented policyholders in complex insurance recovery and coverage litigation at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and McCarter & English LLP. Her experience across multiple areas of practice provides a broad legal perspective that informs her approach to client counseling and strategic problem-solving.
Professor Bender Ginley brings her experience as a practicing attorney into the classroom. Drawing on her work with clients through every stage of the estate planning and administration process, she provides students with practical insight into the application of trusts and estates law and the attorney鈥檚 role in counseling individuals and families through significant legal and financial decisions.
