أغجز¹¤×÷تز Salem Hosts Horticulture Entrepreneurship Seminar

Salem, Ohio – أغجز¹¤×÷تز at Salem hosted a gathering of students and industry experts for a horticulture/entrepreneurship seminar named “What Makes Us Grow.â€‌

Students from أغجز¹¤×÷تز Salem, Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center listened as representatives from local “greenâ€‌ companies discussed all aspects of the business side of the industry.

The discussions included insight into hiring practices, resume writing, seasonal trends, starting a business and the skills and education needed to succeed.

Panel participants included Emily Showalter, director of human resources at Willoway Nurseries in Avon; George Hohman, president of Turfscape Inc. in Cleveland and Akron; Seth DeHoff, owner of DeHoff’s FGL in Alliance; Chris Carlson, associate professor at أغجز¹¤×÷تز Salem; and Richard Lutsch, of Byler, Wolfe, Lutesch & Kampfer CPAs in Salem.

The audience also included members of أغجز¹¤×÷تز Salem’s horticulture advisory board, who offered the students additional insight into the industry, as well as the campus’s horticulture faculty members.
