Sarah Faber is a senior biology major with an interest in plant biology who is on track to graduate in spring 2023. Her experience in botany research at أغجز¹¤×÷تز has inspired her to pursue a graduate degree and continue to engage in scientific discovery.
“I have grown to respect the art of botany,†Sarah said. “Plants do what they want, which can be a struggle.â€
Sarah is grateful to be a recipient of The Dr. G. Dennis Cooke and Dr. Barbara K. Andreas Scholarship in Biological Sciences.
“This scholarship has helped me pay for college,†she said. “It’s hard to cover all I have to pay on my own. It has helped me so much.â€
As a student, Sarah has given back by serving as a mentor for middle school Latinx and underrepresented students interested in science.
